Upon this pond I call life,

With every lily pad we have been privy to share,

Bits of water in between,

A bit of blue,

We have lighted,

Upon the lily pad,

Eased,

We have stepped upon it,

We can dive anytime,

Science,

Logic,

If there is no God,

The cosmos, big banged itself,

Itself!!

From nothing,

Why then?

Why would I care?

To hold your hand?

I guess it is because,

Boy and Girls,

Actually young men and young women,

We are like bees,

We buzz,

The boys are about,

Well, you know,

(And nobody else wants to know),

The girls are about,

More salient matters,

Does he care?

Really care?

He does care,

He loves you,

“So where did he take you?”

“Down to the, Styx,”

“For,what?”

“For French fries, and ketchup,”

“For, what!?”

“For ketchup and fries,”

“Really?!”

“What else?”

“Coffee,”

“That’s it?!”

“Yup,”

“I think I could fall in love with this boy,”

“Really?”

“Yup.”

Every child,

I have read Ernest Miller Hemingway,

He was an atheist,

I am the opposite,

But, I love his prose,

I understand everything he says,

Except he killed himself.

We are children.

We are the every child,

In every story.

We are loved,

By God,
