Van Cleve served here.  He eventually was a General in the Union Army during the Civil War.  Fort Snelling was built in the early 1800’s, and was the strongest fortification in the then Northwest Frontier of this nation.  Courtney Van Cleve is the General’s great-great-great granddaughter.  Married today, at the Chapel to Josh Kypke).
