Three Robins Play
Three Robins play,
Beneath the
leafless, twiggy lilac bush,
More work than
play, I’d say,
Busily moving
leaves,
Finding stems and
very small twigs,
Off they fly, and
back again,
A home to build,
Before they can
really play,
And, later she may
lay,
Those baby blue
eggs,
The next
generation,
Of Robin babies!
