The Problem of Evil or God's Response to Evil

Philosophers of evil laud,
In heaven; earth there is no God,
The fawn in forest fire dies,
The little child beaten cries.

In every life evil we meet,
The pain and suffering replete,
Believers struggle as we go,
In wondering what God must know.

It’s rare howe’er to think of good,
To balance evil as we should,
The placid wave on every beach,
Each breath of air within our reach.

Our fingers move to make the bread,
Each muscle moves to turn our head,
To see with eyes and widen grin,
To cross a finish line and win.

If every cell that multiplies,
Were counted for each one that dies,
And, every heartbeat in our chest,
Must matter fore it takes its rest.

Yes, evil’s here; a force indeed,
And, we must note each dour deed,
Yet, faith in God is where I’m free,
In Christ there’s final victory!

So if I fall so low I laud,
It’s ne’er beneath the hands of God!
