Snow in April
Snow in April, who would know,
Now I’d simply wish’d it go,
Mother Nature’s had some fun,
Dropped an inch don’t leave ton.
Kids inside would rather play,
In the park on sunny day,
Caught indoors they run and swerve,
Stomping on Mom’s final nerve.
Purple crocus crying loud,
Weeping in their snowy shroud,
Daffodils all bow their head,
Some lay on the ground half-dead.
OK Spring, it’s time to shout,
Bring your warmer weather out,
Winter’s had his final tease,
Go back north, we beg you, “Please!”
