Coin de Jardin (Corner of the Garden)

Coin de Jardin
(Corner of the Garden)

The corner of my gardens rise,
I want and need these light grey skies,
And, right the artist’s blue brush brings,
A blush, with blonder bluer things.

Quick down descend to darkened pool,
Of waters quiver’ng quiet; cool,
Now, leaping left the bright spring flowers,
I’ll sit and stare for hours and hours.

Erin’s Spring

Erin’s Spring

Love the move from winter wonder,
Seeing spring sunshine asunder-
Through each leaf as it will wander,
Beauty in my mind I ponder.

Greens so minty and so mellow,
Bursts of daffodils so yellow,
Deep blue seas of skies are chilling,
Thank you, God, for life this thrilling!

Sit and Sit

Sit and Sit

Sometimes I sit, and sit and sit,
And, sit, and sit, and sit and sit,
I am not proud of this one bit,
I like to think I think a bit,
Of this or that or this a bit,
A treatise or a writ of wit,
I’ll hit upon a bit of it,
Or bottle it into a kit,
Of exercises to stay fit,
So strenuous to give us grit,
Until I’m tir’d of all of it,
I’m down and out, and in a pit,
It is a time to simply quit,
And, sit and sit and sit and sit,
Oh, think a bit, and sit and sit.

We Know

We Know

I have skated,
I have soared,
I have sailed,
Water and air,
I have supped,
I have sipped,
I have savored,
Food and wine,
All are thine,
I cannot thank myself,
I thank you,
Who?
I have stood at the edge of the world,
I have been to the deepest darkest realms,
And, all who have been where I have been,
Know
We know,
There is only one answer,
It is,
My Lord!

So Shy

So Shy

So shy and yet I see,
Shape and shadows
Your soft silhouette upon the wall,
Unpinned hair falls,
Caressing your shoulders,
Round and descending,
Intersecting arcs and curves,
And, what unnerves me is my attraction,
Distraction,
That’s what you are,
I am all angle, and edges,
Straight lines,
Corners at 90 degrees,
You, and only you,
Put an end to all of that,
When you were just a girl and I a boy,
True love grows,
Forty years are but an instant,
Still shy,
Sometimes,
I like,
No, I LOVE the real,
I will take the shadow,
I will build a dream,
It fills each day,
It thrills each night,
For us the secular is too limited,
Till death do we part?
Only a start,
We are meant,
In one way, shape or form…
For eternal life,
Together!

Sleep My Baby (A Lullaby)

Sleep My Baby (A Lullaby)

Sleep my baby close your eyes,
Papa sings a lullaby,
Mama holds you oh so near,
We both love our baby dear.

Sleep my baby through the night,
Mama; Papa hold you tight,
More constant than the stars above,
Our God will keep us all in Love!
