Grandkids
If you have no grandkids, yet, then let me set you
straight,
It’s wonderf’ller,
it’s wonderf’ller, it’s downright giddy great!
Don’t get me wrong; these kids are strong and goofy many
times,
They’ll bang on pots, and cry a lots, and, Yes, they’ll
ring your chimes.
They know the rules and they’re no fools, they have what
you have got,
Their pool of genes are rearranged to put you on the
spot,
Don’t ever, ever worry much you have the upper hand,
You’ve been around the block yourself, and that they
understand.
We know all that, and after that it’s all so candy sweet,
The socks on boys, and tights on girls, those tiny little
feet,
Oh coo, and stare, and reach to you, with baby; toddler
style,
There is no greater joy on earth; they look at you and
smile!
