Thanksgiving Rolls
with My Grandson
Four years old
going on thirty,
He wants to know
everything,
He knows a lot,
More beyond his
years,
He feels emotions
deeply,
When we made rolls
for Thanksgiving,
We were in our pajamas,
(Rolls start early
for a noon time meal),
We want to count
the cups of flour,
He was perfect,
Seven to stir,
And, three more to
knead,
Perfect,
He would count
backwards,
He will make a
fine replacement for his Grandpa,
In the roll making
“business”,
This makes me
happy!
