The Last Day of Thanksgiving

The Last Day of Thanksgiving

We are never fully prepared,
For separation from people we love,
Even for the right reasons,
Seasons come and go,
There is always the harvest,
Bounty, and joy in the plenty,
A quiet winter follows,
The key is to enjoy the quiet,
Keep the memory,
The vivid orange, and red,
Alive in images we have had,
And, prepare,
Make ready,
For Spring IS coming,
Until then,
Winter says, “Sh-h-h!”
“Be still,”
“I have a surprise,”
“Christmas is coming!”
