 Brothers

Two brothers came,

To Grandpa and Grandma’s house,

Eight and five,

So much alive,

And, in love,

Oh,

They fought, too,

Brothers do that,

You always do that!

You always close the door!

Stop that!

Yet,

We heard,

We saw,

We felt,

Love expressed,

I saw one kiss the back of the other’s hand,

And, say,

I love your hands,

At night,

Watching a movie,

Cuddling under a shared blanket,

Eating popcorn,

And, laughing,

Catching a fish in the morning,

Holding a snake in the afternoon,

Brother stuff,

The stuff that binds,

The stuff that reminds,

You,

Me,

How much,

You really,

Love your brother!
