Commonsense Life
The commonsense life is as easy as pie,
You sleep for a while then you open your eye,
You see past your nose with intelligent mind,
With human genomes in your life you will bind.
The human, the human, the human you see,
Oh much like a god for you have a degree,
Oh, brilliant design, and so brilliant and yet,
Would you trust your death on a one dollar bet?
I doubt that you’d care; with martini in hand,
You open your eye, and here do I stand,
And, I understand for I’ve stood where you stood,
I gave my life up for my Christ, Yes! For good!
But, why would I do that? A strong man like me?
So powerful, yet all the weakened I see,
So grand His design for the commonsense life,
For all in His wisdom to end common strife.

Olio! Olio! Starfox on Golio (Children's Poem)
Olio! Olio! Starfox on Golio!
Mintock and Pintock and Fiddledeedee,
Were playing Goolong on the planet Goolee.
But, Starfox was stranded he needed all three,
He needed their rescue; he needed all three!
I’m dying of Shurma; I’m dying for sure,
I know I need Zurma for it is the cure!
Now Mintock the doctor, and Pintock his nurse,
And, Fiddledeedee had the Zurma packed purse,
The Zurma now filtered through three billion Zops,
From three zillion acres of Zurmapop crops.
Oh, Mintock the doctor how he was morose,
For Golio’s Shurma it took a strong dose,
He told Fiddledeedee, “You must pack your purse!”
“In case we get Shurma, and die of that curse!”
Now Golio was gorgone miles from Goolee,
A desolate place filled with nauseous Sharee,
We all felt that Sharee and Shurma were linked,
And, Starfox would test with his Loomgottapinked.
The Loomgottapinked was a massive old thing,
It could pick up a speck; test a germ with a, “Ping!”
If Shurma was out there amongst the Sharee,
The Loomgottapinked it would “Ping!”, yessiree!
Now, Mintock and Pintock and Fiddledeedee,
They landed their ship in a field of Sharee,
And, there they found Starfox all gasping for air,
The friends they would save him with Zurma to spare!
They packed up the Loomgottapinked and its stand,
Spread Zurma all over Sharee in the land,
Now, Shurma is gone, yes, it has met its dead ends,
And, all thanks to Starfox and his wonderful friends!

One Day - Sonnet XXV
One Day – Sonnet XXV
Oh God, why are there poor,
In all of their disparity,
The homeless, foodess, mass I see,
Enough to share so they are free,
Tuxedoed leaders always bore,
Once free from their own poverty,
Just glow in their prosperity,
Before their cronies who adore,
It’s one on one to help each man,
To give, and give, and give and give,
To help each other as we can,
We help our neighbors where they live,
And. rich or poor we have one day,
To smile, or sing, or dance and play.

"Read" and "Lead"
Read and Lead
Yet, “Read” rhymes with “Lead”,
It makes me laugh so!
But now you would ask me,
The first “Read” you “Read”,Does it rhyme with “Reed”,
Or, a rosier “Red”?
I’ll answer this way,
So you have no doubt,The first “Lead” is metal,
To figure it out.

Gate A 19 Atlanta
Gate A19 Atlanta
Food court,
Smoker’s Lounge,Black waiter asks, “Would you like something to drink?”
Coffee black,
Patrons everywhere,
Smoking,
I feel like the homeless man,
Forgotten, yet served at the food kitchen,
Soup for the soul.

Red
How do you know that the “red” I see is not “blue” to you?
My “orange” is your “green”,My wonderful “coffee” which you despise,
May be like “lima beans” (which I hate),
You said that you don’t sense God,
I said that I do,
I think that my “red” might be a little brighter because of it,
But, that would be boasting,
So I will keep that thought,
On the inside.

Decisions
Decisions
Introspection and reflection,
Analyze by blunt dissection,
Chosen not by your election,
Try to choose proper direction,
Stay on course with no deflection,
Trialed by discoursed objection,
Knowing there will be defection,
Some advice and some correction,
Try to make the right selection,
With pure love and true affection.
