Commonsense Life
The commonsense life is as easy as pie,
You sleep for a while then you open your eye,
You see past your nose with intelligent mind,
With human genomes in your life you will bind.
The human, the human, the human you see,
Oh much like a god for you have a degree,
Oh, brilliant design, and so brilliant and yet,
Would you trust your death on a one dollar bet?
I doubt that you’d care; with martini in hand,
You open your eye, and here do I stand,
And, I understand for I’ve stood where you stood,
I gave my life up for my Christ, Yes! For good!
But, why would I do that? A strong man like me?
So powerful, yet all the weakened I see,
So grand His design for the commonsense life,
For all in His wisdom to end common strife.
