Oh Friend, what tension in a lover’s bond,
What life besets upon that lovely head,No wont to carry to the evening’s bed,
A wish that you could wave a magic wand,
To send all cares to heaven and beyond,
Such rarity that you are barely led,
With some comforted words I may have said,
E’en though I am the one with whom you're fond,
And, so together we have had to learn,
That we must never to the other preach,
Yet, we have found that touch with gentle hand,
A gaze; a kiss is all we truly yearn,
A blissful joy is always within reach,
Twill wisk us far away to lovers' land.
