Popcorn
Popcorn time is fin’lly here!
A time to Yell, and time to Cheer!
Popcorn bowls filled to the brim,
Yes, some for her and some for him!
Into the kettle put some oil,
So hot the stove to make it boil,
Tinkle, tinkle kernels drop.
Oh, shake and shake; now pop and Pop!
Corn zings and pings; a sizzling cough,
‘Til kettle lid is lifted off,
We pour some out in bowl; What fun!
Back to the heat ‘til popping’s done.
Now fine the salt all stirred by hand,
It is by any vision grand,
As kindred spirits take a seat,
To savor fluffed, puffed, salted treat!
