Brothers Forever
Comrades in arms,
Each one would
keep the other safe,
Out of harms way,
Each one could “take
you out”-
When you are out
of line,
Each one would
take you in-
On a moment’s
notice,
Young enough to
remember,
Old enough to know
better,
We laugh with spontaneity,
It was so from the
beginning,
It is so to this
day,
Our mother was a
saint,
She was a boys’
Mom,
She would really
get mad,
Have us sit as a
group on the stairs,
So she could
lecture,
(we didn’t do “this”
or “that”…chores, usually)
After the yelling
subsided,
She would stare at
the four of us,
And,
Start laughing!
(Whew…Once Again!)
Brothers, Forever!
