My Baby (To Dallas and to Faith)
My baby rest in
Mama’s arms,
I’ll hold forever
all your charms,
My faith, on solid
rock it stands,
I know you’re safe
in Jesus’ hands.
My spirit leaped
to realms so deep,
I’d drained each
eye with tears to weep,
With grief, beyond
my woe we wept,
Within your willing
love we’re swept.
For now “Love” swooshes
down on me,
I feel the kick of
“her” or “he”,
People might ask
if I am torn,
All joy is mine
when you are born!
With loving arms
your Mama sings,
Each every day our
baby brings,
Our Faith once
more from Heaven’s grace,
I see it shine
upon your face!
