Once Again

Once Again

 Why is there never “happy” in goodbyes,

The heart just tears in two; although it tries-
To set a strong resolve upon the face,
When you must give that final love’s embrace.

Yet, you’ve received a gift within your heart,

Don’t tarry long on moments when you part,
Each laugh and smile you’ve known will make you grin.
Until you see your loved one once again.
