Winter’s Snow

Winter’s Snow

Who knew that white would fall below,
On virgin branches fresh with snow,
The puffs and fluffs on stand of green,
Of pine tree branches so serene.

The sedum stems hold flow’rs quite brown,
So proud in winter with white crown,
As snows on twigs of lilac falls,
Fair catching little cotton balls.

Oh, fleecy, feathered, fingered streams,
Fill up my nights with endless dreams,
Of winters captured by the fire,
And, wrapped within my love’s desire.
