A Warrior

Kathleen Taylor was a warrior,

A Warrior for the underprivileged,

A warrior for the homeless,

A warrior for the underfed,

Always a friend,

Always a bright spot in everyone’s day,

Could she fight?

Yes,

Could she make people angy?

Yes,

Did I ever disagree with her?

Yes,

Did you ever doubt her ultimate goal?

No,

Because she was a warrior,

For Christ Jesus was her, Lord,

Battle worn,

Fighting in the trenches,

For everyone,

Who had little,

Or nothing,

She was my heroine,

 A true warrior,

For the poor,

A Decatur Saint.
