Men and Women
A man’s mind,
Boxes,
This is nothing
new,
Review,
A problem seen,
(Or heard about),
The box is opened,
Pieces lay down,
Greens together,
Reds pushed toward
the corner,
Where reds should
go,
Placed,
Resolved,
And, the box,
Is closed,
A woman’s mind,
Wire,
This is nothing
new,
Review,
A problem seen,
(Or heard about),
Wires run
electrically,
Greens together
(sometimes),
Reds are reds,
But, sometimes,
They scramble the
greens,
(Men do
understand),
(They really do,
but would rather watch),
(Their football
game),
Together,
We need boxes,
We need wire,
The frame,
The fire,
The strengths;
desire from each,
And, when we love,
We reach across
the divide,
Every day!
