Forever More
Oh, come with me,
Just take my hand,
Cross glist’ning sand,

And, distant sea.
With hearts unbound,
And, souls entwined,
In flame refined.

This love we’ve found.
Toward distant shore,
With you again,
From now ‘til then,
Forever more!

The Mind of God – Sonnet XXX

Intelligence beyond the mind of man?
The telescopes and rockets of the day,
The telephones and videos we play,
Oh, please divine your humanistic plan,
Controlling all corruption in that span,
To free us from the evil of the day,
While in control so we may not dismay,
For if you can I’ll be your biggest fan,
While human good and evil take its course,
You had no hand in making of this earth,
To truly solve you must go to its source,
Point outward for the best in our rebirth,
True happiness while on this earth I trod,
Is found within the Joy and Mind of God!

Evan and Jenn

Ripples of the oceans,
And, ripples of time,
Myriads and millions, and minions,
Tossed and turned,
Endless,
God or Chaos,
Ebb and flow,
Yin and Yang,
And, Yet,
I found you!
In the office,
Baking cookies,
In my toaster oven,
Chocolate chip,
You stepped inside,
You entered my world,
“What are those?”, you said,
“I will bring you one”,
“When they are done”,
And, done we were,
Captured with cookies,
Set up,
“She wants to dance with you”,
Set up,
“He wants to dance with you”,
Cookies and dance,
And, now we knew,
Our ripples now would coincide,
Our ripples crossed a divide,
Enmeshed, and washed,
With the other,
Flowing together,
In romance,
And, lost in love, forever!

Boys and Girls

Boys and Girls

Men are the same at every stage,
A girl’s a girl: forget the age,
You toss your hair; you have that stride,
We turn our heads, and melt inside.

With makeup, lipstick you will fuss,
Profound effects it has on us,
Sometimes you go au naturel,
Affect us too, and you can tell.

You cover up with baggy clothes,
We look at fingers, nose and toes,
And, if the fingers; toes are red,
We’re trapped, ensnared, and we are dead.

Heavy or thin is no concern,
Beyond a point of no return,
For every girl, and every boy,
Can find the “One” to share that joy.

But, now a secret I will share,
For any girl, a boy to snare,
Just sidle close to him awhile,
With sideward glance, and loving smile!

Lost Letters

Lost letters,
Love letters,
Blue and bleeding ink,
Washed in water from a flood,
Boxed in the basement,
Sublime and seminal,
Eloquent and ethereal,
Tearful and tearing,
Youthful; yearning,
Constant; committed,
Unchanging; unyielding,
Blissful and blessed,
You captured me,
With unanswered letters,
I lost them,
But, thank God!
I found you!

Mother's Day and Dandelions

Mother's Day and Dandelions

Oh, field of yellow turned to white,
Dear favored weed; a child’s delight,
A yellow bunched bouquet in hand,
Child's love for Mom: her smile so grand.

And, he the kindergarten kind,
For Mother’s Day what can he find?
“Oh, here! Oh, here! She will love this!”
The flowers. The hugs. The smile. The kiss
.
Now, after Mother’s Day they go,
Out to the field to blow and blow,
Each whitened, puffered, flowered head,
Oh, my the seeds of love they’ve spread!
