Apple Blossoms

Apple Blossoms

Apple blossoms bloom,
Balustrades of beauty,
Plumes of fiery red and perfect pinks,
Amidst a blizzard of white,
A suspended snowfall,
Persephone reigns,
The dance of spring begins,
Earth’s youthful splendor revealed,
And, all nature sighs,
Once more!

Your Will

Your Will

It’s only God that holds me high,
When I feel hurt; about to die,
If I am faced with grief and pain,
Your will for me will e’re remain.

While man’s great intellect on earth-
May solve grand problems and have worth,
Is it the “ultimate”; my god?
Do I bow down and give it laud?

Or having riches, land or pow’r,
Are these my gods when life is dour?
I hate to say I’ve tried each one,
Until my life became undone.

And, now undone, and on my knees,
Yes, bent and broken I said, “Please,”
“Oh, take my life and make it thine,”
I want Your will; please make it mine!”

Inside Day

Inside Day

It’s an inside day,
 Drizzly, drippy, drowsy,
Lost to the outside,
Drifting on a dream,
Drawn inward to face outward,
Hugs and kisses are within reach,
Love rules every decision,
I love,
I crave,
Inside days!

Life Was a Puzzle

Life Was a Puzzle

Life was a puzzle,
Puzzling,
I puzzled,
Until I met you,
You held all the missing pieces,
We’ve pieced them together,
You and I,
The picture’s not perfect,
It’s a puzzle after all,
But, with all the pieces put together,
Its whole,
Pretty perfect!

I Wander

I Wander

I want to wander,
Wander away,
Wander where the river winds,
The currents could carry me,
With every rushing ripple-
I wander,
Forward, onward,
Towards the river’s bend,
And, beyond!

The Daffodil

The Daffodil

Oh, herald sun and sky,
The trumpeter of spring awakens,
Crisp and clear,
Radiant,
Brilliant,
Bold,
The snows of winter recede in his presence,
All gold and green he trumpets,
Others hear the proclamation,
The crocus first,
The tulip, too!
Announcing spring,
For me and you!
