Morning's Sunrise

Sunrise
With racing and exultant heart,
Extravagant! At daybreak's start-
Upon the glassy water wed,
The heaven's mirror'd morning red!

Oh, share with me as you and I-
Subsume each color from the sky,
And, stroll once more upon the sand,
Enjoy each moment hand in hand!

The Snowbound Wren

The Snowbound Wren

White frigid puffs the snowbound wren,
Suffused within her winter glen,
Mere bits of bud on twig she'll stand,
Purview her glist'ning wonderland.

Safe harbors of the distant spring,
No bounteous breakfast offering,
One moment's rest in winter'd tree,
Then into morning's forage flee.

And, here by hearth the fire warm,
I gaze all safe from winter storm,
Such beauty since I don't know when,
Perchance to spy the snowbound wren!

Kids

Kids

Every day,
Kids drive you crazy,
Crazy good,
Crazy nuts,
Where would I be without,
Crazy,
Every day,
Kids are needy,
Warm milk in the morning,
Two books at night,
Where would I be without,
Needy,
Every day,
Kids get me laughing,
Over silly things,
Out of the bluest, blue…
Where would I be without,
Your laughter,
Every day,
Kids are so loving,
Drawings from school,
Hugs on the couch,
Where, dear God,
Oh, where would I be without,
Your loving!
