Sit and Sit

Sit and Sit

Sometimes I sit, and sit and sit,
And, sit, and sit, and sit and sit,
I am not proud of this one bit,
I like to think I think a bit,
Of this or that or this a bit,
A treatise or a writ of wit,
I’ll hit upon a bit of it,
Or bottle it into a kit,
Of exercises to stay fit,
So strenuous to give us grit,
Until I’m tir’d of all of it,
I’m down and out, and in a pit,
It is a time to simply quit,
And, sit and sit and sit and sit,
Oh, think a bit, and sit and sit.
