Autumn

Autumn

Autumn has arrived,
The leaves have color,
The sap is running more slowly,
Still alive,
Still vital,
More vibrant than springtime green,
Change is evident
The air is crisp and cool,
Fresh from the north,
The sun sends its sunshine,
(As it always does),
But, angled,
To sting your eyes,
Now, blink,
It is evening,
Nights are longer,
Dawns are met,
Dewy grasses and low fogs,
Breathe,
Winter is coming,
But, we have autumn,
We have autumn,
Now!
