Crackers

Columbus sailed the ocean blues,

Our nation found; we know this news,

Three hundred years from then it’s said,

John Pearson found our “pilot bread”!

Before I speak much more of this,

I eat the modern kind in bliss,

The “crack” in crackers is a thing,

A spritz of salt does everything!

But, I have seven grandkids now,

I love them all, Heaven knows how,

I’ve learned that crackers are a food,

That changes every kind of mood,
