My Cat Crawls in a
Spot of Sun
My cat crawls in a
spot of sun,
A day so happy now
begun,
I walk away; she
blinks her eyes,
With head upon
front paws she sighs.
Cat soul; soft
beat within her ears,
A cool cat now in
feline spheres,
And, steppin’ out
upon the floor,
With shiny coat
all cats adore.
She dreams with
catness in her mind,
A slipp’ry mouse
that she might find,
“I sleep and
dream; that’s all you see”,
“I’m just
conserving energy!”
