A Grandson
I had a siting
tonight,
I was trying to just wait in the car,
Grandma just had to drop off “a thing”,
I said, “I’ll just wait in the car,”
She was gone for five minutes,
Errand done,
It’s nine p.m.,
I am tired,
I am ready to roll home,
Finally she walks to the car,
And, who peeks out behind the curtain to see the car,
My Grandson,
It’s dark outside,
The car is dark,
I turn on every internal light,
He smiles,
He laughs to see Grandpa,
I wave,
He waves,
I get out of the car,
We blow kisses to each other,
I love this boy,
I love EVERY ONE of my “babies”,
All seven,
Five boys,
Two girls!
This is life,
This is love,
This is family!
