Tightrope Walking

Tightrope walking,

This is me,

This you, too!

You, amaze me,

Whether you believe in God or not,

Every one of us is a tightrope walker,

What keeps you focused?

What moves you to that end point?

One foot in front of the other,

Are you cold?

Are you hot?

Who determines that?

Is it you?

Then you control everything?

Right?

You did stretch the rope,

You started to walk,

Tightrope walking,

This is me,

This is you, too!

When we fall,

We both hit the bottom of the gorge below,

And,

End of story,

Or maybe not,

Dependent,

On preparation,

Or not,

After all,

It is,

Tightrope walking.
