Cold Walk
We were alone,
You and I,
I could touch your
hand,
As I did,
As we did,
Well,
Forever,
It is a really
cold day,
Today,
A cold walk,
We have walked
forever,
Boy and girl,
Your gloved hand,
My bare hand,
You said, “It’s
not fair”,
“I am cold in my
glove”,
“You are warm in a
bare hand”,
I said, “The only way
I can explain that,”
“Is that God wanted
you to hold my hand!”
